The San Diego Wet Lab is hosting a biology lecture on November 1st, 2016, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm at the La Jolla Riford Library. Dr. Callen Hyland from the San Diego Wet Lab will discuss the mechanics of brain growth and related theraputic treatments.
Your brain cells are under tension.. literally. From single cells to nerves and spinal cords, biomechanical studies have revealed a surprising role of physical forces in shaping the nervous system. Join us to learn how our knowledge of neuronal mechanics could lead to new therapies for the injured nervous system.
This event is part of the San Diego Wetlab’s citizen science lecture series held every first Tuesday at 6:30pm at the La Jolla Library and every third Thursday at 6:30pm at the Downtown Library.
