The Progress of Stem Cell Research and Therapeutics in California

The next Citizen Science lecture is at the La Jolla Library on Tuesday September 6th at 630pm.  Jackie Ward from UCSD will discuss results from recent Stem Cell research in California.

California has dedicated $3 billion towards the advancement of stem cell research and therapies since the passage of Proposition 71 in 2004.  This investment has rapidly paid off in knowledge and progress toward cures.  UCSD researcher Jacqueline Ward will review the process of creating viable therapies from stem cells as well as the recent successes resulting from this work.

This event is part of the San Diego Wetlab’s citizen science lecture series held every first Tuesday at 6:30pm at the La Jolla Library and every third Thursday at 6:30pm at the Downtown Library.   Please check the San Diego library system events page for location details and changes in the upcoming schedule.
