Citizen Science Oct(1)

California sea lions are the most abundant pinniped species found in California. By studying the population size and feeding habits of sea lions over time, scientists have gained a better understanding of predator-prey interactions and a deeper insight into the structure and health of our marine ecosystem.  Learn how researchers studying these animals with the National Marine Fisheries Service at the local Southwest Fisheries Science Center can help us understand larger patterns in our local and global ocean ecosystems.  We’ll see you there on Tuesday Oct 6th!
