Our Central Library Lecture Series kicks off this month! Our first lecture features Dr. Callen Hyland (June 18th), Learning from the Animal Masters of Regeneration. She will explore the many different types of fascinating animals capable of regeneration and how this type of research might ultimately help people. In July (16th) we will explore the growth of desalination of seawater as a source of fresh water for Californians as an alternative water source under our current drought conditions. Dr. Daniel Cartamil will give us a better understanding of how currently under construction and proposed desalination plants can influence our coastal resources and marine life. Finally in August (20th) we will hear from the founder of The Wet Lab, Cameron Clarke about the DIYBio movement and the projects he is starting here in San Diego. Come join us at the beautiful new downtown Central Library! Lectures start at 6pm!
